Hi everyone,

I Have visited this forum many times over the years, and thought it would be a nice community to be a part of. I enjoy gardening, building and fixing things, live out in the sticks where it is peaceful, and I am an avid student of soil building from almost scratch. It can be fun and frustrating gardening on dark sand in stead of dirt. In a way it has made me a good observational scientist.
I also have made and used stone dust for about ten years. So I have some first hand knowledge of its use and limitations. I also do foundry and machine work as a hobby.

Feel free to ask any question, Cheers
Cam

Hi Cam! I live in the woods half an hour from Duluth. I think of my growing medium as two inches of soil on top of forty feet of sand and gravel.
