I have four of the above trees (small) on order and on the off chance they do not come with planting instructions i was wondering if i should add anything to their hole (nutrients) or the surrounding soil while planting? Should i mulch when they are young? Thank you for the help.

When I plant these trees, and I'm a landscaper, I dig a square hole, mix the original soil with compost, plant the tree with the mixed soil, elevate it a bit (I'm in clay soil), stake it so a high wind doesn't take it out, and mulch. Make sure it has water but won't drown.
