Does that include the cost of the 'call out' (transport time to your place and back)? That's usually extra.
15-30 min talking to the human, putting plastic slippers on their boots, etc.
2 min getting the blasted stud finder to work
1 min hanging
10 min making noises and stuff so it seems like you are doing work
another 15 min undesired social interaction.
That's $20 labour and times that by five to pay for the company, car and wear and tear on the tools...
$65 is a great price for that service.
I wish I could say this was a joke, but when questioning a manager at a very similar shop, he spelled out how the cost was assessed. A lot of it goes towards lonely people needing to talk. Very few people grunt and point.
(pro tip, most library memberships include free classes on how to do basic home stuff like safely hanging a mirror - way more reliable than youtube which can be hit and miss when it comes to safety. Although the stud finder is needed in the bathroom due to plumbing and electricity being common in the walls, so an extra few bucks.)
