Looking for a like minded penpal

So i've tried all sorts of penpal websites only to find that they are mainly used by people wanting to travel or learn different languages, but what I really crave is a fellow permaculturist/artistic type to write back and forth with. I write in old style cursive hand writing, and I think the thing that makes letters interesting is not just the words but adding art, pressed flowers, recipes, pictures, etc.

Are there any out there that also enjoy sharing in this way? I am female, Canadian, late 20s, married, no kids.

I do penpals - my most recent success at finding penpals was through sendsomething.net. I'd like to say I'll write to you, but at the moment with 11 penpals and other writing projects on the go I really don't have time to take on any more writing! However if you can't find anyone else after a little while, feel free to nudge me. This sounds lovely and I'm willing to give the penpal idea a try. I'm a self-taught artist and use to make my own greeting cards at Christmas time. I painted with acrylic for a while and once experimented with natural plant powders for homemade water colors (spirulina, turmeric, beet, etc.). When I wrote cards and letters to friends and family I'd sometimes include a little hand-drawn art on the pages too. It might be nice to do this again and exercise my creative talent in this way. I might enjoy the challenge of reading cursive too. Such penmanship seems to be a dying art, I'm afraid, in this age of emogis and net-centric abbreviations. I'll warn you though, my handwriting is not so cursive anymore. I've lost some of it over the years. But at any rate, I think we might get along So send me a purple mooseage if you want to exchange addresses.

I would be thrilled to have a homestead penpal!
Though I have sent scores of letters to friends and family, if I get one back a year I count myself lucky. Our homestead is still new, so a lot of letters might include some version of "Well, that didn't work..." If you are interested just pm me for the address. This may be the perfect excuse to get new ink for my fountain pen 😁

Count me in! DH and I are doing our best but find ourselves struggling when we look around and no one else lives anything near like we live.  (Off-grid) No electricity and no wind or solar power.  ....well...we have head lamps and lanterns that recharge with solar...

International postage can get expensive, (it's $2.50 from Canada to anywhere that is not the US,) but you might be able to find someone willing! I wish you luck!

This thread is old now, but I've just come across it on the search for a penpal. I'm a 31 y/o woman living in the UK (Cornwall) and taking steps towards homestead living. I love growing food, being with my partner and our animals and writing & decorating letters. Aida - if you're still looking for a pen pal to exchange hand-crafted arty letters about homestead living, I'd be keen to exchange letters. Same for anyone else - although I'm only seeking female penpals.
