Added my only other email and it still is not allowing me in.

I found you! It looks like your payment errorred. Maybe check with Kickstarter and see what happened? Mine initially errored, too. It had still had an old credit card account number on file. Once I updated my info with my current card, everything was dandy. Maybe something like that happened to you?

That is helpful! I think maybe when you signed up for kickstarter you might have used some sort of apple ID thing? Your email address in kickstarter's file looks like a lot of jibberish, and ends with appleid.com. I'm not quite sure what to do about this...

Hmm. I did have an issue with figuring out my payment and it turned out I could only get it to go through if I signed in with my Apple ID... so that explains it. Is there no way to transfer it over to my regular email? This tech stuff gets so crazy sometimes. Sorry to complicate things. Funny thing is my Apple ID is my normal email when I sign into it.

Can you change your email address on kickstarter?

That's what I don't quite understand. Kickstarter is sending all its communications to my regular email, the one that I put in this site. I think i was acting as a guest when I sent the money through kickstarter. I do now have an account with them using my regular email but... I think the two cannot merge.  Maybe I can contact them and see if they can somehow transfer info over? This is so weird.

Part of me wants to get our own software modified to cope with the wacky email address.  But that could be a while.  

Changing the kickstarter account to use something more normal will make everything right as rain.

Bummer, I'm unable to update my payment.  It's timed out. I don't get online enough i guess. I missed the timeframe, unless the powers that be have an opening?

Hi there. I missed the first zoom meeting and now it seems I can't get in thd second one because of an invalid ID when I click on the link in the e-mail.

Ah, bummer. Not used to forums. Have difficulty finding out when those meetings are (apart from the time difference). When is the next one? Where could I find that?

Monday at 6pm mountain time.   A zoom link will be emailed about 10 minutes before the meeting starts.

Yay!!!

Ok so Kickstarter responded finally and said they cannot link my email to the account that used the appleID email. The only way would be to put the Apple ID email into your system... I added it to my secondary email... not sure what else to do here.

That is the offiial invitation to that forum.  The reason why that is so important is that if your kickstarter email address is not found on permies, then it sends you a slightly different email - with instructions on a couple of ways to mend the issue, including adding your kickstarter email address to your already existing permies account.

Yes, got that email... apparently I am supposed to 'merge' my accounts. However....the 'account' I used for the kickstarter that is supposed to merge with mine - doesn't exist as a Permies account at all. Every attempt to add this email to my permies account is followed by this merge instruction (and failure) and tells me that I will be sent an email on that non-existent account, to give permission to merge - which of course I don't, because I never had a Permies account with that email.

Not sure that makes sense.... so here is a step by step
Received email from the bot
Clilcked the link, not working, and asked to merge accounts (one of which does not exist)
Attempted to merge, was told email would be sent (never was, no matter how many times I tried, yes, checked spam)

So I'm still locked out.

Forgive me if I'm just not seeing it, but was looking forward to seeing the video on Ponds, as it was part of the greenhouse kickstarter. Can't find it in "my stuff" or see notice in an email. I can find where to go to see info about it and purchase, but don't find my access to it (yes, I'm logged in). Thanks ahead of time for help.

Add that email as your secondary email address and you will be all set!

Zero match for your permies email address on the greenhouse kickstarter.

I found an account on the kickstarter with a first name "Leona" and a different last name.  And a different email address.  

If you can put that email address into permies as a secondary email, then all the kickstarter goodies should magically appear in your account.

In the top right corner you should see your name - click on that and then click on "edit profile" then "email preferences"
