After giving the thumbup I read up on Borax and decided that lathering your scalp with it may not be such a good idea after all.

I think you can just click on the thumbs down to remove a thumbs up.  I'll try it on your post so be warned if it does not work

edit...seems to work just fine.  There will be a box that asks if you are sure you want to give a thumbs down but it only takes away the thumbs up if you have given one.

try it on my post here if you like.

and if you accidentally give some one a thumbs down as I have occasionally you can correct by hitting the thumbs up button.

I just realized this won't happen any more because there is the pop up that asks if 'we are sure we want to give a thumbs down' ...very helpful.

LOL, I dare say an etymological presumption may provide some insight into human nature. Q. Why is the 'wind' of string on a ball spelled the same as a gust of wind? A. Because preparation makes all the difference when weathering a storm.

When scrolling on a cellular phone, I'm always accidentally giving a thumbs down, and that box comes up and I tell it to forget it. But it doesn't give a warning when you go to give a thumbs up, so maybe I have approved of all sorts of crazy things that I didn't even read, since I was just flipping to the end of the thread.

True, Dale, I do that all the time when scrolling on my mobile!  Thankfully, I usually notice the pop-up asking if I really want to do that and can cancel it. Hopefully I have not accidentally “thumbs down”ed too many of our permies friends by accident!
