Do your goats have hard surfaces to climb on, play on, etc.? I have difficulty trimming hooves too. Concrete block structures and a concrete or road bond section outside of their barn area helps to make more time between trimming times. Also...if you are using general trimmers, don't! High quality goat trimmers make the job easier!
They have things to climb on so that most animals only need a trim once a year - often not even then. But this one goat!
I try trimming them once a month or more, but I can never get as much off as she grows and about twice a year, I have to get someone in to trim the feet or she stops walking. No infection thank goodness! But I worry about her. I use proper hoof trimmer snips that work on everyone else. But her feet are so strong, I can't trim them.
I have had sheep like this, and they all had the same problem: they were carriers of foot rot. She needs to be culled from the flock and replaced unfortunately. If she is the only one having problems, ultimately she will give it to the others. It is best to get rid of her.
Is it a special goat to you? If you want to keep her, you could experiment with changing her diet. I found my goats hooves grew faster when they were eating mostly lucerne, now that they're eating mostly trees and scrub, I don't need to trim as often. Have you tried getting someone else to hold the goat's leg still while you squeeze the shears with both hands?
my goats all vary on which one is easiest to cut. When its wet in the winter there feet are like butter and very easy to cut. in the summer they become harder to cut as it drys up. I have read of soaking the feet in water for a given amount of time helps soften the feet.
You could take a rasp file to the feet which are difficult.
I take my goats for quite a lot of walks in the winter which helps trim there feet down. right now i am relying on the rocks i have in there pen and my ARS Shears from japan. I also use a hoof knife. One day i will spend the money and get a really nice rasp file and most likely be cutting and using the file to smooth it out as its difficult to get a smooth surface after cutting with just the shears.
It would give a normal human mental abilities to rival mine. To think it is just a tiny ad:
