We convinced my Facebook friends and family that we had added ostrich chicks to our new chicken coop. I think it says a lot about their expectations of me that they all fell for it!

Well Michael;
You are obviously such a stand up, straight forward, Permies nerd... that your friends and family just nod their heads at anything you do!
Its all beyond them, what their wacky friend is trying now!
Keep up the good work!

Michael Cox: I think that's a classic "you know you are a permie when..."  post it there too :D

We gave some friends a box of our lovely eggs today when we met up with them. Some, but not all of them, are hardboiled.

It has the added benefit of suspense, until they actually use them.

Oooh, that's a great gag. Adding it to my list.

I have also been watching for suspicious posts, but haven't found any yet.

I'm waaayyyyy too busy helping to solve *real* problems - like fixing the brooder - to worry about "prank" problems. But I'll take last year's hugs and my son *loves* cattlepults.

Now if only my Muscovy would accept a few hugs... they're soft and look totally cuddly, but take offence when I try! Cloudia's a day or two from setting - I'd be happy if she's "fooling" me, as we're still getting cold nights, but I won't count on that. She's pretty "squeaky" and added a cloud of down to her nest yesterday.

Enjoy your day everyone!
