A property I'm considering purchasing has a small pond on the property.  There is no apparent flow into the pond but there is a trickle of water out of the pond.  It also has a vertical pipe coming out of it with an odd pole attached to it, see the picture.  Is this a likely a spring?

Looks like a spring.
Picture doesn't say too much but constant water running from pond...
Sound like there is a spring under there. Perhaps someone drove in the pipe for a water feature effect?
