We are looking to improve our SEPPer program. https://permies.com/wiki/sepper

What are your thoughts on what we can do better to get more people to visit?

A few ideas I thought of:
  • Think like a National Park: focus spreading the word/advertising especially for Summer & Autumn
  • Profile some of the interesing folks currently on site, if they're fine with that, to introduce the community to prospective SEPPers
  • Historical sites draw interest; can the SEPPers program be tied to aspects of local history (pioneer ways, etc.)?
  • Standard rotating themes for the weeks and/or months for visitors to choose to focus on if they are wanting to do PEP BBs

Talking about the program more on the forum as maybe a lot of members don't know it exists.

But the best part of being a SEPPer? You're an honored guest, and are free to do absolutely nothing at all if that's your wish - lounge in the tipi, roast marshmallows, go on a hike, watch the clouds pass - whatever makes your spirit sing. You're the guest, and ultimately you can be as hands on or as hands off as charms your soul.

This is a good example for places to talk about the SEPPers Program:

Maybe you would like to build experiences with rocket mass heaters, or building stuff out of roundwood, green woodworking, or wofati construction, or cob stuff, or building hugelkultur, or fermenting foods, bow hunting, driving the excavator or the tractor ....There is a long, long list of possibilities.

Ask people who have used the SEPPers Program to post a thread on the forum about how they enjoyed their stay.

Ask they to post this also to their Social Media.

I think listing on Yonder will be good for Sepper visibility, increase, profitability.

The VAs are working toward bringing on lots of new boots.  I think having someone on site who is passionate about hospitality would be a majorly helpful thing.

Paul says we have tried 3rd-party booking sites before and we haven't had good luck with them. So for now I am looking at ways to promote within permies.

We are working on highlighting different buildings for upcoming months.

I am working with the head of the bootcamp to make a calendar of themes with assortedBBs.

All that thinking. Doesn't it hurt? What do you think about this tiny ad?
