Good day!
I want to grow oyster mushrooms both as a food source and as a way to break down fabric and cardboard waste. Do any of you sell spawn on the internet, or else have a source you can recommend? Thanks!

I've used Sporeworks to buy... other varieties... of mushroom spawn before. Their spores were fertile, and it looks like they sell oysters alongside their other offerings.

I'd love to find some oyster mushrooms that are acclimatized to Vancouver Island. I just moved to Victoria and I'm looking to do something with the sad apple tree stump in my backyard. Just highjacking this post to ask for any good local sellers, or, if anyone is particularly trusting, the location of a small patch of oysters in the Victoria area that I can harvest.

Thanks to anyone, and happy mycoremediation

Only ever bought liquid cultures from them (I make my own spawn), but North Spore has been my go-to. They sell spawn as well, and are who I would go to if I were looking to buy some spawn.

Do you find oyster near your place?  It is not as difficult as I used to think to produce your own cultures and propogate specimen already thriving in your locality.

My daughter gave me a nicely packaged Oyster Mushroom growing kit for Christmas.  I am going to get it started today.  It is from backtotheroots.com

When it's finally spent, break it up and add it to mulch out in the garden. Sometimes you'll get an extra flush outdoors...

I agree with Faye.  I have used Field & Forest.net for years and had great experiences.  I just got the new catalog!
