I love it when people make delicious beer.

I don't spend my energy in this way, but for those of you that do, I feel like this is a good permie intersection: 4000 year old traditional grain fermentation for delicious libations:

I'm a big fan of Max Miller's Tasting History.

I wish I thought beer was delicious, although I suspect it wouldn't be good for me to be drinking beer it anyway.

That's really fun, to think that people are making something so traditionally that the method dates back at least 4,000 years. (And I don't believe in Cavemen, by the way--I think that cities/civilizations and outlying tribes have ever coexisted, and that we have always had beer as we have always had cities!)

I actually just watched this video a few days ago, too! My kids were learning about ancient Mesopotamia (and therefore Sumer) and so I couldn't resist watching it (even though we don't drink).

I like how he adds in a lot of interesting history and mythology, too.

Plus, I loved seeing the cuneiform tablets. Cuneiform writing is really fascinating, and I totally recommend any video by Dr. Irving Finkle for those that love history and sarcasm.

this is supposed to be a surprise, but it smells like a tiny ad:
