We have an abundance of Greenbriar.  I've had to clear it, which is unpleasant, to say the least (ripped clothes, blood, scars, etc.).  
However, I have been looking around for basket weaving material and thought it would rival Blackberry vine.  
I can use the same technique to remove the thorns...a stick or gloves run down the stalk.

I came across this article about various uses of the Greenbriar that our ancestors knew about.

After reading this article my relationship with Greenbriar has improved significantly!  I'm hunting it
now for shoots, roots, berries, and basket making material!
