Hi,

As part of a documentary film project I'm working on, I documented a great RMH a few months ago in upstate NY. Another member of this forum suggested that I share the video here, so here it goes!

You can also check out this video about an Earthship-type home in Quebec that is using a RMH as their only source of heating (other than the sun).

Thanks for watching!

Too sweet.
This is my first post here.
I would like to thank all of you for your part in the advancement in permaculture. I grew up in waddington not too far from your location. The winters there have fangs for sure.
You have a lovely home.

This is my first time posting on this forum. I have watched these videos several times and I think they are great. The first video is about a rmh in Canton NY. I also live in the Adirondack region. I am wondering if someone could explain the legal process if any to installing an rmh in NY. Any info is appreciated.

Peter Burris : A late welcome to Permies.com, Our sister site, richsoil.com, and a big Welcome to the Rocket and Wood Stoves Forum / Threads if you are

For my first post on this site I'd like to thank you for posting these two terrific videos.

I found you by searching for Rocket Mass Heaters and this is where I ended up.

I'm very much looking forward to doing a LOT more learning and reading here as I want to make a heater for my present home. Last winter chewed through nearly 10 cords of wood!!! Cannot afford to do that again!

Thank you again for the wonderful videos.

Keith Welcome to Permies, You will long remember your first post here ! L@@K at my last Thread extension above and get the paper work out of the way !

Once again Ernie and Erica arevery busy getting ready for a Marathon RMH Workshop (at Wheaton Labs for you to get a fast answer from them! Their information
site is still a good resource for your near future !

In the mean time, I can strongly recommend going to -> Rocketstoves.com to Download your copy(s) of the Brand new 3rd Edition of Ianto Evans' Great
book '' Rocket Mass Heaters " With over 100,000 Rocket Mass Heaters RMHs built World wide, most were made from 'The Book', and 95% of all of the 1st the builds
(That Worked ) were made following 'The Book'!

After you have the book you can come back here andBe Sure that you can use and understand the simple terms we use to describe the size, shape and physical
orientation of the parts of a RMH to the whole and each other ! 'The Book' will save you hours of lost work, frustration, and mis-spent monies helping you select the
right parts and knowing there careful assembly has created units 25+ years old and still working ! We still get reports od successful scroungers who have assembled
super efficient basic units for $50.oo Good hunting and come back often For the good of the Crafts ! Big AL !
