Orchardist/gardener in central MN.  Apples, cherries, pears, and plums. started in 2009, have about 120 trees now.  (Peaches too if I can every get a zone 4 rated peach to actually survive winter.)  started no till gardening 2 years ago and finding it to be a better approach than tilling at least for me.

last year cherry fruit fly showed up and ruined my cherry crop.  hoping to get advice here.

Hello Wilbur, good luck with the peaches!
I found this thread talking about one sort of cherry fly issue. I'm sure I remember another thread talking about barrier methods of protection, but I can't seem to find that now. Usually the key is to break the life cycle of the pest, or to create environment for a predator to deal with it rather than trying to remove the problem yourself.
