Forgot to mention: in Dutch we don't call them 'angel beans' (which would be 'engelboontjes'), but 'holy beans' ('heilige boontjes')

My personal favorite of all time for looks is the Painted Pony beans. Its striking mix of white and deep brown gives it a timeless, classic beauty.

Anita Martin wrote: But I might venture into the land of beautiful beans. I received some beautiful beans from an Internet friend in Austria like Yin Yang beans and Angel beans, but I could not grow them in my soil and climate - Austria has some warmer wine-growing regions that allow for such crops (and apricots!). I have to deal with the conditions I have, I guess.

Here in the US I just found out that Angel beans are sold under the name "Holy bean", just as with the Dutch (thank you Inge!).  I just got some seeds!  Now to see if they will do ok here in Maine.

I've been harvesting my broad beans and came across these beauties!

I'm not sure what variety they are, but they seem to have done pretty well for me this year.
