don't get too wound up over the signs
just my humor showing through
(it's amazing how popular that "great" sign is)

https://www.amazon.com/Pawpaw-Search-Americas-Forgotten-Fruit/dp/1603585966
Andy Moore's book called pawpaws "America's forgotten fruit"

I have been promoting pawpaws for 17 years at local festivals, farm shows, Earth days, etc
my goal is to bring pawpaws out of obscurity and bring them back to their former prominence and "greatness"

those pictures seem disjointed as they weren't suppose to show as i was trying to figure out how to post
(i never pressed submit)
i hope tomorrow to redo with a series of pictures which tell the tale

Wonderful to hear about your efforts to promote paw paws, too, Duane.

It is SO amazing to me to taste something with such tropical flavor undertones that grows in Northern North America.

Wow.

Michael Judd shipped us some paw paws to sample and we made a thread to thank him here. Thank you, Michael!!

(Note that Paul's hand in this pic is freakishly large compared to most peoples' hands, so these are NICE sized fruits!)

I think so, though I'm VERY new to paw paws and have only overheard others talking about them as we sampled them last weekend.

These threads on paw paws might give you additional growing info:

Since it looks like the book is MIA, can anyone recommend another equally comprehensive resource?

Fredy, it looks like Michael's book will be out in June.  Another book on pawpaws that I enjoyed and you might pick up to fill the time until Michael's book comes out is "Pawpaw: In Search of America’s Forgotten Fruit" by Andrew Moore.  Was a very fun read.

I second Greg's recommendation, Andrew's book is great.

Pawpaw Aficionados I am still here.. not MIA... nearly complete on the manual.

I affirm that Andrew Moore's book is awesome. I am grateful for his book in that I have been able to skip all the history, lore, etc.

My book is largely a horticultural/permacultural how-to that jumps right into working with pawpaws, seed to table.

Stay tuned.. plan to have it out in June.
