We live in a world where there are still many hurtful things going on - one of the most tragic is child abuse. Even if the child is believed and the abuser found, there are still hurdles to overcome and emotional healing that needs to happen.

The Edge Effect: a zone of mixing - where diversity and possibilities rule.

Enter "Bikers Against Child Abuse". Bikers with extensive training interface with child abuse victims and stand with them as protection and emotional support. (Warning - it's possible that you may tear up a bit watching this.) The inherent characteristics of bikers - big, strong, scary looking - are definitely used to best effect here.

There's lots of chapters - I know about them because of their local Phoenix chapter.

They're pretty awesome. I thought it was interesting that they used people's intrinsic perceptions of bikers to perform this really great function!

Craig - that is a most excellent idea! Nip some abusers right in the bud.

That is so sweet!!! That is a such a great way of improving the lives of the children while also improving the public's view of bikers!

As an old biker friend of mine would say. "Well, sometimes people just need a good talking too followed by a little tune up on their attitude"
