Paul and I just got off the phone. We spent about an hour brainstorming ideas for stretch goals. So I am going to put some options in this thread and you can vote (click the thumbs up) on the ones you like best.

Also we want to hear what YOU guys think would be good stretch goals too! What would you want?
What would be a stretch goal that would be so awesome that someone would tell all their friends?

a rocket mass heater "open house". people would come out to wheaton labs and everybody that would come would get the chance to start a rocket mass heater. this would however be limited to 20 people

a new reward: $500: 2 hours of paul's consulting (it's typically 500/hour) and everything in 15videos.

bonus footage: right now, each DVD is planned to be about 1:45-2 hours for each one. But we could do something with bloopers or other video stuff.

I like this idea a bunch but am kinda wondering if it may just come together organically. I mean I don't know what wear and tear on the property is for something like that.

I really like the thought of having the many plans. That way people who want to learn and innovate on their own will have many examples to draw from.

It might be cool to have a follow up DVD (instead of a blooper real - those don't take much editing or work afterall) perhaps shot @ the innovators event where purchasers of the product could have their questions answered with video demonstration. Don't know. I'll keep thinking. As if I had any other options...

+1 for design plans!!!

I think design plans would give a lot of people a specific plan to follow, and for those that are more adventurous a solid foundation or starting point on how to design/modify their own custom RMH.

Being in Australia also means that a lot of the other options are of a lot less value to me personally.

Yeah put some serious thought into costing up what it would take to draft pro quality prints.

Also, you are going to want to engage the services of translators, captioning - subtitles and wot-not for world domination purposes.

Finally, keep a legal fund. Just saying.

The files shouldn't be that huge. Maybe 10GB a piece? Also, if you hosted them on Amazon S3, that would cost less than $1 per each 10 GB download. Take them down after a month (or pay $0.30 a month in storage each). I don't see why that's not possible for even the 8DOWNLOAD reward.

I'd like a stretch goal to organize the steps people need to follow to make RMHs legal in areas where municipalities and insurance companies have never seen them before. I know it's been touched on in podcasts and probably forums, so maybe all that's needed is a point in the right direction. Maybe include it on the RMH microDOC.
I should have thought of that for the pre-launch.

I'd like a tried and true list of ways to go about getting a wofati built without being in fear of having the "beast" come and tear it down. How to get insurance companies to get on board, inspectors and so on...

I'm also super interest in ground sheltered homes, even though I may never use one myself outside of the scale of a root celler or something.

To expand on an idea I was having earlier.

What about doing a live webinar from the innovators event? Like on the last day. People who pledge X get front row seats and a chance at a question and answere session.

?

I am interested in wofati's too but mostly in terms of animal shelters. I would love a stretch goal that involves information on how to build animal shelter wofati's or any type of wofati

I'd like to see a packet of information assembled, that once purchased, could be taken to local building enforcement officials to aide code revisions to include Rocket Mass Heaters. One of the largest obstacles in many of our fights for this renewable self built option is the resistance from building inspectors to approve such technology.

I started a new topic instead of posting a reply! I have copied and pasted here:

It would be cool to get someone from Paul's camp out here in Kentucky to teach us how to build RMHs and teach others. Spreading the gospel of RMH through the building of capacity. Keeping it grassroots and expanding Paul's plan to take over the world!!! Bwhahahahaha... (evil eyes with evil laughter while wringing hands just under the chin) Using the money to teach others face-to-face would be another learning modality to reinforce the guidance, dvds, and forum you have already perfected.
I am happy to help in anyway I can!
