Pie giving feature not working

Please move/ delete this if it's in the wrong forum

When I try to give pie to a post, I click on the button and get the pop-up box, I can change or leave the number in the text box but the send button doesn't work.
I don't use an ad-blocker on this site (one of the few)
I'm running chrome on a chromebook.

Edit: Changing the view to new makes it possible to give pie.

Not sure if I've just been duped, but it worked for me.

Rus, can you confirm that the one I sent you has arrived properly?

Actually, no, I'm not phishing, this feature really doesn't work for me.

I still can't send it back to you. I had a bunch of pie from that windmill post, that I wanted to share about. It worked once but the other dozen or more times I've tried it, I haven't been able to send.

Edit2: I can send my apple a day no problem

So I checked my account and it seems I have no pie slices left, which is sad.
I can't tell where they went, and the one you gave me has disappeared.
Maybe the one's I gave did arrive for the intended recipient, but as the function to send didn't seem to work, I may have sent multiples to one person.

I tried to send the pie back to you right away.
After I tried to send the pie back I did try to highlight the thread, if this uses pie, then it's probably gone there but I have no way to check.

I'm afraid I pushed too many buttons and levers. If you send me pie, I'll check my account, then if it's there send it back, logout, log back in and see if it's gone.

Russ, when you are logged in try clicking on 'pie' at the top of the page to the left of 'recent topics' and that should show a list of who you've given pie to and received it from along with the pic of a pie with the slices you have left. It looks like you still have one slice as there is still a pie slice showing below your name in your last post.

edit...a pie to 'highlight' shouldn't use any of your pie...you can only highlight one thread at a time though so when you highlight another one it moves and asks you if you want to go back to the last one highlighted (or something like that )

Well something strange is happening - we'll have to call the programming team in.

If I look at your pie page, it's showing five slices available to you. Does that sound about right?

In my experience, clicking on the +pie button while I'm in Old View doesn't work. New View runs a little too slow and heavy for my poor internet connection so I mostly stay in Old View.

5 slices seems right, I gave 2 away, so it does work intermittently

Has this been solved?

It sounds like there was some stuff about "the old view" - was that the problem?

Changing to new view does make this feature work.

I'll mark the thread as solved and edit my original post.
