I've tried to attach some images to a post here. I see that I am allowed three attachments per post, so I tried to attach three photos. Only two of them show up. When I go to edit the post, it says there is a limit of three attachments, but I can't actually see how many successful attachments I have from this page. The button to add another file is clickable (not greyed out) but doesn't seem to do anything. My question is, am I doing something wrong, like breaking a file size limit I'm unaware of? Is there a way I can add my third photo?

On a different note concerning the same thread, might it fit better in the projects section? I see a lot of threads of this nature going in there. Is there a proper procedure for asking to have threads moved?

My apologies if these answers are already out there, but a quick search of the forums failed to turn up anything relevant, so here I am asking.

Hi Rebecca,  Thanks for letting us know.

I suspect the thing with the images is a bug - I'll look into it.

For the time being, it seems you can attach 2 per post.  Could you put the other image in a second post?

Is there a proper procedure for asking to have threads moved?

Yes there is.

Press the "report" button on the first post of the thread and say something like "please put this thread in XYZ forum"  The moderators will see that and if they feel it fits, they can move the thread to the new forum.

One thread can be in several different forums, so the moderator who sees your note may just add the new forum to the thread.

Those of you with PIE can add forums to threads.  The new Thread Boost feature also has this as a feature.

I could attach the image in a second post, but I wasn't sure if I should. I'll do that now.
Thank you for the answers!

I have a related question!
I am currently accessing the forums via my phone.  I have been unable to attach any pictures with the phone.  I am able to select the file I want, click submit - the button then says "saving", but nothing else happens.  I think eventually I get some kind of an error or timeout message.  I was/am assuming the problem is with my fake-cheap-chinese-knock-off " smartphone "... But I am able to post photos on other sites (Facebook) and send photos via email.  Any technical advice would be greatly appreciated! Its a bummer not being able to " show" and tell.

I added six.  But maybe my account has superpowers.

K.   I found the thing that limits it to 3.   Maybe we should change the limit?

I do know that if your image is really large and your internet is slow, the system might time out.  How speedy is your internet?

I suppose if a person uploaded three huge images and their internet was so-so, it is a bit of a push.  So maybe we should stick to 3 for now.

What is the brand of os on the phone?  What is the browser you are using?

I have never tried to attach images via phone - anybody else having trouble with this today?  Anybody else wanna give it a try?

Ha, I  probably going to embarrass myself, and find out exactly how crappy my hong Kong "itel it1409" phone is.  It has an android 5.1.  I just use the generic "webbrowser" feature, but it does have google chrome, which I have never used because it seemed slow.

I also had some problems uploading images.  I'm new to posting so I put it down to user error rather than anything else.  Is there a thread that explains what to do?  I was trying to upload directly from my computer and also from google drive but I couldn't get it to work.  If there is a thread that explains all of this please direct me where I need to go.  Thanks!

I logged in with google chrome, and after an impossibly long wait, I did succeed to load a picture.  Perhaps its just a matter of slow internet, which is always a problem here (remote African village)

I meant to do this last night, but I've just done it now with success. It's the same image I tried to add before, and the file is about 240 KB in size, if that helps at all. My internet is pretty fast, and it didn't seem like timing out was the issue before, but idk.

I'm not sure, but I think the status of this thread is now "move along!  nothing to see here!  everything is peachy!"   - do I have that right?
