The flower looks like the grape hyacinth they sell as bulbs in the big box stores. I have never seen anything like that insect.

BEL #46 Thursday June 12, 2025

On this day, the twelfth day of the sixth month of the two thousand and twenty fifth year of our Lord, this bodacious band of better boots bore bountiful breads, while boatloads of baritones bounced on their beds. But not before bossman bringeth about barrels of bitter beer. The morning brought tractor repair and more sand on the flats, and lunch was relieving when taking off hats. After noon we did other things, and I drove a tractor. They said I’m so good that I look like an actor, I think previous experience is a vital factor. SC

p.s. This is a repost from last Thursday, when I ran into some difficulties that should now be resolved. Enjoy this word collage, regular posting to resume tomorrow.

To shed some light on the situation. The little lighting project was decided last week during a
lawn chair design session. We'll probably improve the wiring and bump up the wattage from the 15 that's there. I got to do a little plumbing today, which is always great, because then I recall the 3 life rules a plumber once gave to me. 1 : Always check your fittings. 2: Shit runs down hill. 3: Never bite your fingernails. I don't know why, but that's my favorite advice I've ever been given and it has served me well. As for pex pipe, only further evidence for my philosophy that everything is just legos. My latest lego model has running water and is great for the outdoor dish washing station. They could have made the stuff with some more colors than red white and blue though. Last but not least, bathers will now be the only ones getting showered on service berry terrace. Enjoy. SC

Lots of cool stuff to record, but breaking my favorite tripod was kind of a bummer. Time lapses are now on hold awaiting further updates. Maybe I can fix it- with wood!

Over these last couple of days, I've been hired to take on a new task. As the tour weekend/ health week cook I've been re-stationed to the kitchen to cook for and support health week folks and spoil the boots. It's been pretty fun and also challenging to do so much cooking. I haven't done this much cooking in a while. Here's some pictures from the last couple days. SC

if you think brussel sprouts are yummy, you should try any other food. And this tiny ad:
