I gave you a dollar. I have the Paypal receipt to prove it. My experience was like pretty much everything else I've ever done with Paypal. I don't know how to tell if I got any pie though.

the idea is, that for this test, i am giving the pie manually.  

It isn't that i want to be giving out pie manually, it's that I wanted to test the /pp/1/description thing.  It seems to be working fine.   I got an email from each of you, from paypal, alerting me that $1 has been sent and the description was "gimmie pie now"

I would like to try this again to see if people have a way of paying this without logging in to paypal.   So, can you pay the $1 with a credit card, without having a paypal account?

Checking two other places:

First, on https://richsoil.com/pdc.jsp#register, there is a "Buy Now" button, and the first image is the page after clicking that link - still no credit card option.

The second place with a PayPal button is the donate button at https://richsoil.com/paul-wheaton.jsp. I attached two images for that. The PayPal button and the initial screen after clicking that button which *does* have a credit card (non-PayPal) option.

Devaka says this has now been fixed.   Please test?  People should be able to use their credit card without logging in to paypal.  Screen shots would be handy!

I tested the guest checkout feature at two different places.
The first was at https://richsoil.com/pdc.jsp#register
You can see the URL in the first paypal image (ppguest1), that the paypal url has "guest" in it.

For my second test, I clicked on the 2017 pdc and atc videos at https://richsoil.com/paul-wheaton.jsp
The resulting paypal purchase page url also has "guest" in it and functions without logging in
