I knew SRV long before he became famous & did a little security work for him when he was with the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Was remembering him today. Rock on Stevie!

Haxaw is a good friend from TN. Couldn't find the bio of his banjo but it was custom made for him by Les Paul. Forgot which but either Lester Flatt or Earl Scruggs met him at the factory & signed it when he went to pick it up. It was an honor just to hold it. He's not as famous as SRV was but he's really really good too. Played & toured with many big names. I think the first video from his website shows his talent the best.

Recently have decent internet again so I'm catching up on music. A bit of background ... I'm old with a varied & weird background & have traveled to many places. Some good, some bad. Some of which is hard to imagine. Have lived a whole litter of cat lives. Attended a huge number of concerts too. Mostly because a friend's dad owned major recording studio. So no telling what type of music I might present here. A few nights ago I realized many folks younger than me have missed some excellent music. So let's start here ...

Some of the legends jamming!

Back to the 60's ...

That was getting deep fast. Now for some good ol' funkiness...

And there's surf music. Hang loose y'all. Windsurfing is one of my things. Are Gidget reruns next? hmmmm
