This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Electricity.

In this Badge Bit, you will run some wire for an electrical project.  Wiring long distances in a finished space is a fun challenge.  Let's give it a shot!

Here's a video of a guy explaining running wires through walls and ceilings for can lights:

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
  - run 20 feet of electrical wire (any wire is ok for this BB)
  - the entire run must be in a finished wall and/or ceiling
  - attempt to follow local code so that you don't burn your house down

To show you've completed this Badge Bit, provide proof of the following as pics or video (less than two minutes):
  - the location before you start the job
  - the work at the messiest point
  - the finished wire run
  - the flawlessly finished room

I'll be doing things a little differently than the video posted above but here is my attempt at the 20ft of cable in a fixed space BB.

There was no need to cut any holes in the plaster/"gyprock" (I think y'all Muricans call it) other than to install a new switch which will also be another BB submission. But instead I opted to climb into the customer's roof space and run through cables through there for a flawless installation.

The way houses are built - at least here in Australia - is that the framing doesn't really touch the brickwork except for a few tie in points so it was as simple as running the yellow tongue (what the video above calls fish tape) up against the wall and into the roof space.

Drilled a hole through the eaves of the roof for the cable to pop out of and dropped the cable out at the existing power outlet to create a mixed circuit (which is legal here in Australia as long as that specific circuit is labelled as being so in the switchboard)

All measurements in the picture below is in rough ft estimation with the house having 9ft ceilings
