That is some mighty fine work making this forum.  I'm not sure how many hours, I suspect about 100, possibly underestimating.  It was weeks in the making!

Aw shucks! It took two weeks of my 'Permies time' so probably about 40 hours I should think. Some of that was getting diverted by the great topics we have on clothing. But deciding whether they were mostly about the clothes rather than about the techniques to make them (like your awesome growing a cloak) or techniques to mend them (like this one about repairing boots) does takes a bit of reading and thought.

I also want to point out that I didn't, contrary to R.'s opinion, go through every topic on the forums, so if any one spots a thread that really belongs in the clothing forum if they would be so kind as to report it and we'll take a look - thanks!

Ooh, what a great timing! I have been thinking about clothing stuff lately. I was just about to do a search on summer hats, I’m in need of a one but wanted to find out if any fellow Permies have opinions about different kinds of hats for working in the sun. I have already burned my face a bit in the sun.

I also just got my overalls for working outside! They have been great, although I do need to shorten them a bit (another textile BB here I come!). We’ll see if they still are comfy when the summer heat comes.

Ha ha! I found one summer hat thread for you (top post)! I like a floppy brim canvas hat for summer and one with peak and earflaps for winter. I think we've got a couple of threads on summer clothes, with discussion about what works in different areas. My summer clothes are usually like my winter ones but without the outer coat. Sometimes I get down to shorts and wellies, but usually I'm well covered against the midgies!
