Anyone know where to get chipper/chunker like this in the US?

Seems like there are a lot of them in eastern Europe.  Sure makes quick work of smaller diameter wood.  Would be great for a coppice system!

The guys at Drive on Wood talk about chunkers quite frequently.  That seems like it could be considered to be a tad dangerous to be near when in operation

It kinda looks homemade using chipper knives. Something like that sure would be handy to have. Maybe there are plans online to make one?

This is something that is on my "To Build' list.

I have an out of control Pot Bellied Stove Fetish, and they work well at burning a lot less wood to keep a home warm, but they require small wood. I have tons of saplings I want to get rid of, so my idea was to have the Holy Grail of firewood: 100% mechanized firewood.

I already built my feller-buncher (used to cut down the sapling and load it onto my trailer)

But the second part was to make a chunker that would drop the small chunks right into the dump body on my trailer, that way I could just back up to my cellarway, and dump it in.

So there it would be, firewood at my pot bellied stove without touching one stick of wood. I have been dreaming of that since I was a kid.

Here is a picture of my homemade feller-buncher.

They make a safer chunker too. It runs off a hydraulic cylinder, but cuts on the diagonal so that it severs the tree, up to about 6 inches in diameter.

This is my all time favorite firewood chunker...100% safe! (The fun begins at 1:44
