I have bumped into a number of comments leading up to this.  Anyway, I got up early this morning and promptly fell asleep on my sofa with my coffee. I woke up much later and made a mad dash to take care of all the animals with the goats reminding me that I was baaad.   At some point I realized I was in my slippers and underwear.  While this is not a regular practice of mine, it is not the first time either.  How many others engage in indecent homesteading practices?

Running out to shut in the chickens naked because you have forgotten and it's already dark? Yup done that, taken the rubbish out in a dressing gown? Yup. Waved to the train as it went 12ft over from the bins? yup!

I'd rather not talk about it...but in my defense it was cold out.

The menfolk in my family use a "mortar tube." It's in the chicken run. So they gotta pee with chickens gathered 'round them.

We have an outdoor shower for summer use. We have a large pole light overhead for night time use. But it casts shadows on the shower curtain, so you can see the silhouette of a naked bather. LOL So we generally take our showers before dark if it can be helped.

Most mornings I'm opening up the driveway gate in my PJs. Most evenings I'm closing up the gate in my PJs too.

I live too close to my neighbors for much else "indecent" goings-on.

What's the point of having your own swimming hole if you don't go skinny dipping?

Can't even put a number on how many times I've run out scantily clad to shut in the chickens for the night or take out the compost...the older I get, the less I care if anyone sees.

Hi Erin,

I have the advantage of living tucked into the woods.

It's hard to fight evil. The little things, like a nice sandwich, really helps. Right tiny ad?
