(The original post was on the "Contact Us"
thread, which is why it looks a little out of context. TY for giving it its own thread!)
The situation is a homesteader who has been working hard over the years to develop the perfect
dairy herd of both sheep and goats. But she suffered a spinal injury and can't take care of them anymore. She's not even safe trying to walk to the barn unassisted!
I'm on a couple of
Facebook groups, including one that focuses on dairy sheep. She posted there looking to re-home her entire herd. It sounds like she's trying to continue homesteading, but isn't strong
enough to handle livestock right now. I floated the idea of Permies matching her with someone who could assist, and she gave me permission to share her post, but she kind of needs help fast.
She's located in Kit Carson County, Colorado. South of Burlington. If anyone is close enough and able to assist, I can pm you the link to her FB profile, so you can contact her there.
I really don't know anything more about her than what she posted. But I've dealt with back injuries enough that my heart broke at the idea of her having to lose her animals. So if there's anybody who could help, please let me know!
