Doctor Who just appeared and will take you on one trip to the time and place of your choice.  After the trip you will return to now and here.  When and where will you go?!

Current projects and longstanding anthropological interests would likely take me to the coasts of western Brittany ca. 800 BCE.

How am I allowed to interact with the world I'd be visiting? And are we assuming there's a single authoritative timeline and I would see the only possible future if that's the way I went?

My answer really depends on the above, but my first inclination is to stay right where I am and bip back in time 500 years to see how the land was being stewarded and what I could learn.

Time travel is still not possible today.

If it was I think I would go back to when my children were just babies.  I would love to cuddle them one last time.

Although I'd love to visit the past and see what actually happened at so many time points, I think I would actually end up going forward in time about 50 years to try and see if what I had done made any difference.  And if anything I did ended up working out badly, I could then try and pivot.  Also I'd love to see how much more we've changed our understanding of reality.

I have actually gone back and looked at our homestead via google.

Our homestead looks like the people that now own it are raising race horses.

There was an exercise circle and a race track.

There are a lot of things and places I'd like to see, but Anne's answer feels utterly the best, to be able to hold my much-younger brother that I helped rear again on my lap, he's way too big to sit on my lap now obviously.  Anne you've made me cry in the best way and its my new answer to every time travel question, I've never seen anyone say this before.
