We have two new volunteer moderators on permies. Notice that they now carry the title of "gardener" next to their names. Please join me in extending a warm welcome to them!

Casie Becker
Deb Rebel

On a personal note I really enjoy the grow reports that Deb and Casie post. I love that they are actually growing food. I have enjoyed interacting with Casie and Deb in the off-line physical world.

Way to go Casie and Deb, I hope you find your time modding rewarding and please know while it is never said enough, mods are appreciated. Mods get a lot of grief as they tend to get blamed for things breaking or having to tell people "no don't do that". But mods are wonderful and keep forums running and never get thanked enough.

So please take to heart early on, that you are appreciated even if it does not get said enough. We can't always see the wonderful things you accomplish behind the scenes, so often don't even know to say thanks. But a happy and fun forum takes dedicated mods to keep it going.

Thank you everyone. No, not a mod. Just very very talkative and kinda addicted to answering questions when I can.

It means you are still posting right? Just don't abuse the massive power that comes with the position. Power corrupts and absolute power means you are a moderator...

Seriously congrats and thanks!

This week at least, I'm posting more than usual. I'm on vacation which means I have more time to read and think about every post on here.

Thanks everyone. Catching up.

Yes I'm still posting as well. Plus polishing apples and trying to find good places to award them.

I'm sitting here tonight at the tail end of a session of 'search for slivers' after a day of weed warrioring and getting stuff in order for spring plant out. I gave major blood behind the rose trellis today to cut out the junk elms again and remove the pieces. I got two that were fence post sized again. I don't need blood meal for my roses, they get watered with the real stuff (it seems like that at times).

Hopefully I'll survive and do things right to keep the place running. Hope you still like me and I'm still happily trying in six months. Glad to be aboard.
