This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Community.

In this Badge Bit, you prepare two magnificent dinners (and wash all the dishes and do all the cleaning) for at least 8 people!

For ideas of what to cook, check out the threads in our kitchen forum, such as:

Dinner Party Frugality
Cooking with Dry Beans and Peas
Real Fast Food Challenge - 10 Minute Recipes?
If a vegan friend visited you today, what could you make for them?

For tips on washing dishes effectively and with minimal water, check out washing dishes by hand vs. dishwasher

To qualify for this Badge Bit:
- prepare all the food for 8 people, on two separate occasions
- there must be at least 4 courses per occasion
- all courses must be cooked from scratch
- clean up all the dishes, pots and pans, etc used to cook and serve the food
- as in the Food Prep and Preservation aspect, no aluminum or teflon/coated cookware, microwave ovens or plastic touching the food (including bowls and utensils) is allowed

To document this Badge Bit:
- post a list of all the foods you are serving, and say how many people you served
- a picture of the food being prepared
- a picture of the 8 people eating your food! (we assume you are person #9 behind the camera)
- a picture of the dishes being cleaned up
- a picture of a clean kitchen and dining area

The first 4-course meal included:
course 1 - orange fennel salad with a homemade citrus infused vinaigrette.
course 2 - winter squash soup with coconut milk.
course 3 - 18lb turkey with gravy, roasted carrots, and mashed potatoes with leeks.
course 4 - berry pie with homemade crust and vegan almond chocolate cookies.

The second 4-course meal included:
course 1 - made from scratch appetizers of deviled eggs, venison I butchered and cooked sous vide for over 12hrs, seeded whole wheat bread, 2 herbed flavors of raw cheese from 2 gallons of raw milk, and candied pecans.
course 2 - a homemade ginger carrot dressing on salad with daikon, carrots, bell pepper, and cucumbers.
course 3 - red snapper dressed with avocado oil ginger, garlic, dill, and lemons. Then paired with stir-fried udon noodles in a tamari-mirin-fish sauce and finished with sesame oil and sesame seeds on top AND oven-roasted broccoli in a avocado oil-rice vinegar-tamari marinade.
course 4 - two layer olive oil cake with strawberry-chia seed filling and topping.
