BRK Day 69

Jennifer, Fred, and Scott made the smaller east desk while Josiah, Clayton, and me worked on the large community desk. Johnathan helped both teams and did more chop and drop care for the berms.

@Paul and Judith  -didn't even notice the wardrobe....if someone takes a picture from the rear of me, there'll be a large hole in my left thigh pant -I don't care cause all the protection is needed up front  -if it works, button it any way you want!

BRK Day 70

Rain yesterday and rain today....nice for all those seeds we've been putting in the ground!

A little hugel and a little junk pole fence building at Alterton Abbey followed by seeding on Fred's Deep Roots Plot

Didja see what Pearl sent me yesterday!  These types of gifts mean a great deal to the Boots here as both morale boosters and gives us the ability to create things on our chosen acres after 30 days!

If you want to contribute to my efforts On Narrow Pond, take a look at the tools I need here or send funds to get them via pay pal to orin.noch at gmail

...for those who do send support, I provide videos and pictures not available to the general permies.

BRK Day 71

Yesterday was raining so I did a little info tech. Paul wants to replace the old camera system so we can view the camera output in the kitchen. So I found four old android phones, found and tested some software, and now we're ready to reuse the old smart phones as security cameras.

I wanted to use vlc but the android version won't send a stream, it will only receive a media stream  - I went with IP Webcam, Wireless Sync, and a local server for the initial test using my phone  -worked great on android pie!

BRK Day 72

Did a little nest labor yesterday before setting out On Narrow Pond....

...Did I mention that people who've sent me material support get pictures and videos of my activities there?  Thanks William, Greg, Kerry, and Pearl!

If you're interested in seeing my designs come to life On Narrow Pond, you can do pay pal to orin.noch at gmail, librepay (kinda like patreon but all comes to me instead of a cut going to patreon), or send something on this list here.

BRK Day 73

Good day yesterday On Narrow Pond!  I had two people helping so  I made a great deal of progress  -thanks goes to my material supporters: William, Greg, Kerry, and Pearl!

William is a great source of information on plants here in Montana too! He's already given me a heads up on many issues with regards to ground temperature, rodent behavior and which cotyledons tend to show first.

Kerry just sent me a BRK reward last night  -thanks Kerry!

Alll of my supporters get private videos and pictures of the development On Narrow Pond......here's some nice not yet posted pics for the rest of you from the past

BRK Day 74

With so many in the Boot Camp, we are getting many tasks done: Scott on the tractor bringing dirt to Josiah on the excavator; Steve and I alternate between some pathways building on hugel beds and helping Johnathan build fence; Clayton sent on a rescue mission; Jennifer on a vehicle repair mission; and Fred doing all the things Fred does!  A very different story than March and mid-April!!!  We are nearing completion on the Alterton Abbey west side hugel beds and have laid out the Alterton Abbey south side hugel.

I got a chance to use the sprayer Kerry sent us; funny to put compost tea in a tool most identify as a poison tool!  -the plants will love the compost I sprayed on them in very fragile disturbed dirt; the dirt will start to become good soil!

BRK Day 75

We did an awesome thing yesterday! We managed to mulch the new west side Alterton Abbey hugel kulture beds just before one inch of forecasted rain....that is perfect timing with nature which isn't an easy task to pull off!
