I think you're right, age doesn't matter so much.

It might be that some pictures and more information might help stir up some interest though?

More info. you asked for. ---My picture should have popped up by now. 69 and still alive. But I need
some one to share life with. Have been divorced many years now. Still work part time.  Am a homesteader/
survivalist. ( but not nuts about it )
The older I get, the harder it is to find a soulmate. Looking to move .( anywhere is possible ? )
Tired of the rat race & mega traffic.

Have been to many states, lived a lot of places. Now staying with son in New Jersey. I can move my
business any where. Work from home 2 hours a day. On SS  now, want to move.
Lets enjoy life. To many people think I' crazy for moving to a new area & starting again. They beleave
older one like me, should be watching TV all  day.--- NOT ME. Any ladies, young or old, call or write.

I'm sorry you've drawn the conclusion that it's age related.  Have you tried advertising yourself elsewhere too?  If you're thinking of doing this, perhaps mentioning your interests would help.

So you are able to buy your own farm!  Wow! Should you have mentioned this earlier?

Anyway, I admire your bravery in starting out anew with such a lifestyle.    đź‘Ť

This one might work for you:
https://permies.com/t/135583/Budding-Homesteaders-Partners-Growth
Their Go-fund-me page hasn't  done much so you might get a foot in the door by offering to pay rent for a trial period.

You sure the hell don't look 70. I'm in Montana, completely rooted here. I live on the land with several members of my immediate family (separate houses). If you think you could handle Montana winters off grid (subzero temps, chopping firewood for heat, still using an outhouse until next year hopefully), we should chat. I'm 50 & have always preferred older men. I have 5 grandkids, 3 live here on the land. It's a good life, though not easy.

Ray, don’t give up.  I have a friend in NC, about an hour from Asheville who is single and lonely.  She has a garden and chickens and makes soap.  Retired, but still drives a school bus (when school is actually open).  I’ll pass on your number to her.  You haven’t given it enough time.  Lots of us older women are homesteading and doing it alone.  Hard to meet people.  And don’t say “Old man”, as you are not old.  90 is older, but 69 is not old at all.  I’m 71 and I work harder than most 20 year olds, and certainly get more done.
