This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP Curiculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Homesteading

In this Badge Bit you will tow a vehicle with another vehicle for at least 100 yards.

Here are some interesting articles for your inspiration:

https://auto.howstuffworks.com/auto-parts/towing/vehicle-towing/car/car-towing-regulations1.htm

https://itstillruns.com/safest-tow-car-another-car-5928307.html

Minimum requirements:
        - attach the tow straps or chains to both vehicles
        - tow the stranded vehicle 100 yards without breaking the chain or tow straps

To document completion of the BB, provide proof of the following as video (<2 min):
       - you attaching the tow strap(s) or chain(s)
       - you doing the towing

Here is my submission for the Homesteading Aspect - Straw - Tow a Vehicle 100 Yards with Another Vehicle BB.

While at Windward, the community I've been part of for over a decade, preparing for my summer trip to Wheaton Labs, we decided to tow a dead vehicle up to the storage area while the resident decides what to do with it.  I hooked it up with our much-used tow strap and used electrical tape to make sure it stayed on the hook on my Jeep.  I had to tow it out of its parking space, reconfigure, and tow it up to the storage area which was clocked on my odometer at 0.2 miles (352 yards).

To document the completion of the BB, I have provided the following as a video:
       - you attaching the tow strap to both vehicles (twice)
       - me climbing into Jeep and doing the towing
       - tow the stranded vehicle >300 yards without breaking the chain or tow straps

The towing ends at 2 minutes and there are a few more seconds of detaching the tow strap.  The towing is recorded at double speed and the other bits are at 4x or 8x.

Yesterday, we needed to move a few vehicles. Some 4 wheelers were dead and some trailers were in the way for a new project.

I hooked up a 4 wheelers with a chain and pulled it to the other side of our property. My husband steered the 4 wheelers. My son held the camera for me. Thanks, son!

The glass is neither half full or half empty. It is too big. But this tiny ad is just right:
