Getting ready to send this out tomorrow.  Any suggestions?

The covids are on the run! It is time to explore our summer events!

The earlybird price on our summer events ends in two days!  And, as an added bonus:  everybody signed up for the PDC will get free access to Alan Booker's online course "Observation for Design"

  https://permies.com/wiki/154631

Summer events!

  Permaculture Design Course

     https://wheaton-labs.com/permaculture-design-course/

  Permaculture Technology Jamboree

     https://wheaton-labs.com/permaculture-tech/

  SKIP Event

For more information on how we are gonna juggle people and the covids during our summer events:

The awesome cook we had lined up for the events went and got knocked up and is now gonna be having babies just in time for the event!  So we now need cooks!

  https://permies.com/t/154943

(and before I get in trouble:  his wife is the one who is preggers and it does sound perfectly reasonable for dad to be there for that instead of hanging out with us)

We are putting the finishing touches on our 2021 Rocket Mass Heater Jamboree for October.  As is our custom, during this period of getting our details sorted out, we offer a "super earlybird price"

  https://wheaton-labs.com/rocket-mass-heater-jamboree

The Certified Garden Master Course page is now fully polished and ready for prime time.  So we will wrap up the super early bird price in just two days.

One weird thing about being bonkers about permaculture is that it can be hard to find that special someone with similar values. And there must be something about this time of the year that would explain why our permaculture singles forum is so active. It's a completely free thing.

  https://permies.com/f/42/singles

And a few people on the staff started some interesting threads there.   One about meeting people at events and one asking people how they found their permie SO:

  https://permies.com/t/154454

We are gearing up for our next kickstarter.  It will be a book about SKIP and PEP.  Already, hundreds of people are involved and we are growing fast!

To see the forming plans for the next kickstarter - begging for your feedback:

Lara is getting started with managing events here and she would like to add a few more to the calendar.   She is asking what you all might be interested in:

We are exploring expanding the Permaculture Bootcamp.  And because one of our readers wants to see us grow, he has offered up to $1000 in matching funds for the BRK for boots!

  https://permies.com/w/114138
  https://wheaton-labs.com/bootcamp/

And we are offering work trades for time in the bootcamp to get tickets to our events

Check out two of our current boots and their pics of progress with the roundwood timber framed truly passive greenhouse!

A quick shout out to the all volunteer permies.com staff!  Gir bot says that these staff racked up more than 1000 gir bot points so far this month:  Nicole Alderman, Anne Miller, r ranson, Pearl Sutton, Mike Haasl, Devaka Cooray, James Freyr, Dave Burton, Burra Maluca, Jocelyn Campbell, Carla Burke, jordan barton, John F Dean, Leigh Tate, Steve Thorn, Jay Angler, thomas rubino, Greg Martin, Sonja Draven, Mike Barkley, Jordan Holland, Amy Arnett, Eric Hanson, William Bronson, Robert Ray, Tereza Okava, Kate Downham, Catie George, and Hugo Morvan.

What a magnificent, massive community of people standing up and contributing good things every day!  If you ever hear a discouraging word, just remember the thousands of people helping and encouraging others every month at permies.com.  And that these words are reaching more than a million people every month.  We're making a difference!

Typos?  Spelling errors?  Stuff to add or take out?  Poor grammar?  A bit that could use some polish?

Looks good overall!  Some of the staff names are upper case, some are lower case and there's a weird paragraph break (wrong word for it) after Steve Thorn's name

Fixed the weird break.

The names are in the cases according to what gir bot told me - which, i think, is what each person prefers.

I love the monthly above all else. When I saw the master gardeners class I got pretty excited. For a moment I thought It was all online. I would love to come to Montana but it’s not in the cards at the moment. The ones I’ve looked at here all require a good amount of volunteer time to graduate. I know it’s for community building and such but I’m still not interested. The fact that this one is toxic-gick free is extremely cool!

I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate permies.com and the monthlyish releases. This connection with other permies is wonderful. I received my PDC through Geoff Lawton. It was enjoyable and I learned a lot. The downside was the only connection I had with my peers was through FB. I don’t care for the FB format and was happy to find permies.com as a new connection with other permies.
Thanks for the connection Paul and staff!
