This is my recipe that I use:
Low-Carb Cheddar Bread
This low carb bread makes a great sandwich for breakfast or lunch. Quick and easy, too.
1 large egg
2 tbsp flax seed meal
1/2 teas. baking powder
1 packet Splenda
1/4 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1 teas. butter, melted
Tips
Add a pinch of parsley to the mix for a different flavor.
Melt butter in 15 oz oval ramekin or flat bowl. Add & mix egg, flax meal, baking powder & splenda. Add cheddar cheese and mix.
Bake at 300 degree oven for approx 25-28 minutes or 425 degrees for 15 minutes, they both turned out the same.
This makes one slice of bread. Cut in half, top half with desired sandwich filling. Suggestions: mayo or cream cheese, turkey, lettuce, tomato, etc. Then top with other half of bread. Serves one.
