Hi all, I am trying to slow down or stop erosion around a season creek that flows across my property. Here’s a video. If you have any tips let me know. I am not even sure this is the right thread/section to post this. If there’s a “dealing with erosion” section please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Ps: I tried uploading and the file is too big so I am placing a link here.
Welcome Hector. I added your thread to the Earthworks and Rainwater Catchment forums as well since it seems like there are similar issues being discussed in those sections too. I'm afraid I don't know much of anything about the subject to be able to offer any specific advice on your creek. I did notice this thread which might have some ideas that could apply to your situation.

Off the top of my head you could try certain bushes, like New Jersey Tea, wild Blueberry, wild rose or Sand Cherry. Some native grasses & Sweetflag could be helpful as well, I think, though they will grow into the creek bed & block it up if it ever runs dry.
There are a lot of grasses that help with erosion.
The best one I have read about is Vetiver. There is an update on it in the first link I posted above.
As state above which grass you chose might depend on where you live.

Hi you should look at Brad Lancaster's book on Rainwater Harvesting. Looks like you have some ferocious flow when the rain hits. Lots of check dams and plants will follow. Maybe a beaver!!
I guess I've been abducted by space aliens. So unprofessional. They tried to probe me with this tiny ad:
