Got me a second hand cotton shirt that started losing its buttons one by one.
So I did not just sew one button yesterday. This shirt was in need of a complete re-buttoning operation :-)
While doing another BB to patch an elbow tear in this shirt I noticed the cuff button was broken. Seems like a good opportunity to do this BB! I've designated one poor, worn, torn, and tired shirt of mine as "salvage" to be used for patch fabric and now it seems buttons.

The broken button to be cut off and replaced.

The new button, needle, thread, and cuff it's going to get sewn on.
I put on a button today! The only non-polyester thread we had was purple :)

I have a shirt that I want to wear as it's getting warmer. However, it was a bit lowcut for me so I decided to sew an extra button and buttonhole.
I don't know if this is just a UK thing, but clothes come with a spare button on the label which is really useful if you lose one. I used 100% cotton to sew it on.
