We did some photo challenges a few years back with 30 prompts to be completed within 30 days.

It was a lot of fun and not only did we get to see lots of lovely photos, it helped me see the world from a camera's perspective.

I am itching to do it again, but this time make it more than just photography.  Make it art.  Art in any medium like painting or cooking or wooden spoons, or cheese making, or photography.  Whatever art gives you joy.

I could make 15 prompts to start next week to take us through the end of July.  But I don't want to do it alone.

We also need a good title for this.  Any suggestions?

Make: magazine used to host (or just advertise?) a Thing-a-day challenge where a bunch of readers/makers would make and present one new thing each day in the month of February. I think it’s been defunct for years, so it might be ok to use that name, which I think is catchy. There were several private spin-off groups that used the name. Or twist to art-a-day or something. (Back in the day, I did: code, found-object sculpture, knitting and spinning, and misc years.)

Sounds fun, but WAY too busy this time of year. Can’t wait to see others results, though!

I can't promise to follow through and complete the whole challenge, but I love the idea and would be up for trying. I haven't done anything artsy or crafty in awhile, but I recently remembered how enthused and energized I felt when I took time to be creative.

There are two parts
- doing the art
- cheering people on.

The second part is a huge help to the people trying to do the challenge.

I'll join in, though I'm not certain if I can participate all the way through. I'm really glad to see another challenge like this and excited to see everyone's creative endeavors!

Thank you for everyone joining in the challenges and those cheering us on.

In case you missed it September is off to a roaring start!  Such amazing art!  https://permies.com/t/224735/art/September-Creative-Challenge-Game

I'm looking at art prompts for next month.  October is traditionally the month for Ink.  There was a change that started ages ago called Inktober that is still very popular despite all sorts of history.  The original goal was to inspire people to draw with ink but it since morphed into people doing art.

So what do you think?

I take the list and permaculture it up a bit.

I have great plans!

It wasn't my idea to go to some crazy nightclub in the middle of nowhere. I just wanted to stay home and cuddle with this tiny ad:
