This is really cool! Do you think DaVinci had glue? Would gearing resolve the speed issue?

Thank you. I enjoyed watching the video on 'how to make it'. Not that I want to make something like that, I just love this kind of old 'machines'.

I live in the Netherlands and have seen many windmills. When I have the time (and it's open to public) I also like watching them at the inside. Of course most of all while they are working. I saw grain mills and water mills (the kind that moves water with wind power I mean) working. I have seen a saw mill too, but it was not working.

For many years that saw mill in the second video (and the other mills around it too, the Zaanse Schans) is on my wish-list to visit. I hope next year.

BTW there are a few water mills, the kind with a water wheel, too in the Netherlands. Only in the east and south (close to the borders with Germany and Belgium). The largest part of this country is flat, the water flows too slowly. But we have plenty of wind!
