Would furthering my knowledge of organic gardening, homesteading, prepping, etc, count as a badge??

Looks like an interesting set of books! SKIP is a lot about the "doing" of things and implementing what you've learned. The things you read can be applied to many of the badges, but there isn't a badge for completing the reading.

Reading books is not part of the PEP Badge Bits.

Reading books is part of completing your Scavenger Hunts.

Permies is a huge site, but we have fun ways to help you learn all the neat things we can do here - Scavenger Hunts! There are multiple levels of scavenger hunts, each with more to explore and do. Even staff have them (but those are top secret)!

To find your current scavenger hunt, go to your profile page and scroll down until you see the scavenger hunt section.

This is the First Scavenger Hunt:

Once you complete the Pioneer Scavenger Hunt the next one is the Pollinator, where the Book Review is part of completing that Hunt.

Anyone can do a Book Review even if they are not trying to do the Scavenger Hunt and will still get credit on the Scavenger Hunt.

I hope you will find that doing a Book Review can be a fun part of the Permies Forum.
