This dude popped up soon after I started my 1st garden experiment in AL and i don't think he got enough positive exposure. So here's his 10 seconds of glory and a tribute to a cool spidy, I hope he's crushing right now!

Wow, that spider! Such fat hairy ones I only saw in a terrarium (then they were black). Is this a species that's native there? What's its name?

i don’t know the species, but that’s a classic jumping spider body shape. Family Salticidae. we have lots of that guy’s relatives around here.

Hey Inge, i think Greg's got a better line on the spider species than me but I did just do a quick search and bronze fuzzy face jumping spider is what I got.  I just like how it's out there like it just got back from a spider carnival with an insect popsicle and the light from a hole in the pipe makes makes it look like it's got an umbrella..haha  probably the friendliest spider i've ever encountered tho as i'm not a massive fan and usually regard them like snakes and let them do their thing and I do mine.

Saturday's are great, not because i get to do nothing and sometimes i find that to be motivation to do something but because i get to do the things i enjoy at a pace i know won't burn me out.

A few walks between the abbey and cooper to check on battery stuff, more optimization on Abbey inventory, a big pot of chili and a lot of sorting out DJI drones.  Which by the way, these DJI's aren't nearly as PnP as they like to make them sound and unlike my acrobatic bumble bees, DJI's seem to be powered by data...hhmm  At least they have a solid place in niche photography.

Winter continues!  At least this powdery stuff is super easy to shovel compared to the compressed mess I thought would be gone by today.  Spring is definitely building steam with all this moisture tho and I can't help but think this is going to be great for gardens.

Chilly Montana day here at the Abbey starting out at -10.
Good thing it was a half-art holiday so I could smuggle some btu's from the rmh at the fisher price house back to the Abbey.    

While everybody else decided to create a sign of some kind I decided to build a miniature rock-jack for a sign we already had.  Pretty impressive what round wood will take without splitting but maybe that's just because it was wet from all the snow.  Hopefully it holds up to the dry summer heat as well.  Regardless, a quick fun low intensity project and now i've got the muscle memory to build bigger ones for fencing.

A genuine brother of the dudes with genuine skills builds a floor for the teepee, another dude takes a drone photo and the same dude takes a snap shot of how to not fly a race quad 30mph into a natural fence.  

In my defense of piloting skills  - i'm still on the old school analogue electronics and what you see in captures is way better then what i see while i'm flying. like a 1k pixels maybe.
