Malek Beitinjan wrote:Fun times! Did you ever get the chance to tune that piano? It's awesome that they have one at WL now. I'd be willing to order you a tuning kit off Amazon or something if you're interested.

Hey Malek, I haven't tried yet and honestly its going to be a learning process even with a great tuning kit. I imagine tuning 88 strings is an intense process compared to 6, even with a floyd rose.  Oddly enough the piano seems to be tuning itself since iv been playing it.  I'm not sure if that's a known phenom or my ear has just adapted but it sounds much tighter than it did when I got here.  Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the strings need to be replaced as a requirement of changing its hz.

To answer your question tho - nope, no one has sent a tuning kit. I'm not sure how involved I'll be able to get but I will definitely take some spare time and figure out how to do minor adjustments with one, if nothing else.

Thanks for offer either way tho!

Fred has a tuning kit that he used on that piano. You might want to ask him about it when he gets back.

Cheryl! Awesome chime in! I'd wondered if he might have already had one and tuned it a bit.  I will ask him when he gets back, thanks for the tip!

Caleb,
Very Interesting stuff going on in bootcamp. Do you have an acre that you're experimenting on yet? If so, can you show us some pictures? The reason I ask is because I'm manifesting. Anyhow, good luck in your endeavors. Blessings

Hey Adam, I haven't picked an acre yet.  Personally,  I think spring will be a better time for that.  But when I do, I'll make sure to show some pics asap.

Good luck to you as well! Also to your intentions and discipline.

It was a good day to test race quads, batteries and other gear.  I only crashed 3 times....,  fluffy failure is one way to learn.

Thinking, planning looking forward to building and improving.

BTW I think RC FPV quads are the cheapest way to get a reasonably immersive sensation of flight and I can't think of a thing more symbolically attached to freedom than flight.   While it's a liberation from gravity and not societal stupidity, it's still at the core of those who feel the urge to be free.

I heard something while I was at cooper cabin that I thought was some kind of rodent critter or a turkey and now i realize I've completely forgotten what fierce birds sound like - like the osprey I used to 'film' with my rc quads.  They were just golden eagles.
