Slightly different poll about the jump drive

It's been tough to figure out how to proceed or whether to do anything. So i started with this thread and ended up not very sure what to do.

So there would be this little jar drive. The 8 gig drive is far cheaper than the 32 gig drive. But it seems that if people have poor internet, they are more likely to want podcasts and videos rather than just podcasts.

I'm going to state now that I would need the idea that I would need commitment to sell at least 40 of one of these in order to be able to take the risk of travelling this path.

On the table are two possible options:

Jump Drive A) $30 for an 8 gig drive that contains all 271 podcasts.

Jump Drive B) $60 for a 32 gig drive that contains all 271 podcasts plus all 179 videos.

Either one would come with an unlimited distribution license. This means that people are allowed to copy off of this drive as much as they like - but copying from the copy is not okay. And, of course, if you feel like it you can delete everything else and just keep the drive.

The key to helping me decide what to do is to give a thumbs up for just one of the options below.

I would buy jump drive A, but I would not buy jump drive B.

I would buy jump drive B, but I would not buy jump drive A.

I would buy jump drive A or B.

I would buy B over A but I would buy A if it were the only choice.

I think there could be a very small business in this kind of service and I am interested in pursuing it.
Paul, would you license me to redistribute your content for this purpose (or whatever the legal mumbo jumbo reduces to)?
I would build a website where a user logs in, selects what they want from a list of files from content providers, and pays. The selected files would be put on their selected media and it'd be shipped. Repeat users could send their drives back to be reused.
Content providers would/could manage their libraries, so users could periodically get all the new stuff.

It appears that you can go somewhere and down-load (for a fee?)

It appears as though the RMH is on DVD (I got mine through kick-starter)

It looks like there is interest for a media version of the podcasts, et al that would come on a

And I know there are other things to buy (maybe) under SWAG

MAYBE SWAG CAN BE A STORE FOR ALL THE THINGS YOU HAVE MADE TO SELL?

Thumbs up for a or b

As Paul has been saying, Paul will be counting the number of "thumbs up" that are received for the 3 options that Paul has listed, to decide which option to go with. I've attached a screenshot of the 3 options that are listed way up in this thread. Each of these 3 options has the "button" on it. Depending on which option you would like to go with, click on that button on the relevant post. That will be your "thumbs up" for that option and that will increase the number of thumbs up that post has received and will let Paul decide which option to go for.

I'm a little slow, but figured out the thumbs up!

Jump drive b would be awesome, but I'll buy whichever one is available.

I already download new podcasts as they become available... how about an easy way to download new videos as they get uploaded?

I don't suppose there's an option for a drive with just the videos is there? I'm not that big on the whole podcast thing but would love to get the videos. Love the little permies bottle look by the way. Oh I put a thumbs up on the choice for B already as well just in case there is no plans to give just a video option.

Interest in just videos seemed much lower than interest in just podcasts or both. I suppose it could have been set up to be $45 for just the videos.

I suppose if the level of interest was something on the scale of hundreds of each then it would make sense to offer all three variations. But as is it sounds like I'm going to buy 100 and sell 40 right out of the gate - this will put me quite a bit in the red. And if we sell the rest over the next couple of years, then this project will eventually put me back in the black. So I think we have to pick just one.
