Of course, when your mission is world domination you need a hollowed out volcano with good submarine access. That's just standard operating procedure. We don't have a submarine yet, but we did happen across somebody in montana that does:

The Canary Islands have a giant caldera that has ocean access. This is where James Bond or Dr. Evil would hide theirs. If it was to collapse into the water, the people of New York would need submarines to ride out the tsunami.

Yellow submarine targets were used by the British navy for target practice. The Beatles said we all live in one. This may be a reference to the cold war arms race that was a major issue at that time.

Looks like an itsy bitsy, teeny tiny house project....

I guess one has to suffer to achieve world domination, but that would be a tight fit for you in there Paul!

This site is deep ('Ar 'ar 'ar...) and yes, this is the real deal (except for the hollowed out volcano part). Pat has been doing this (building real subs, model subs and real and model diving equipment) since the 1980's

Ha ha!!! I saw that submarine as I was cruising around the greater Missoula area (visiting old stomping grounds from 20 years ago) just before the RMH workshop! Was thinking that maybe Paul had purchased more property - I mean, it HAS to be his, right?!?!

Here's the volcano and submarine signs Rebecca and Bella made for base camp.

It's made from scrap wood from the electric sawmill. Rebecca drew the signs and Bella used a sun-powered magnifier wood burning tool.

On the road to the volcano, earlier this last spring, a delicate native shooting star wildflower growing out of the rocks.



From the Caldera thread, this is your reward for making the climb, a nice bench just behind the peak with a private view of the surrounding mountains/hills (also at spring bloom time).

Hey so uhh this is the exact submarine I saw in a dream. But it was rusted alot and I wanted to go above water I just couldn't did you repair it mabye? It looks exactly like it tho

I always thought Paul had the unrealized makings of a Bond Villain. If I were the the Powers-That-Be, I would monitor him closely -- he's up to something.
