We're over 60% there! The permies are at $4,573! Getting close to the $5K goal.

I just got in at $30 ($25 + $5) I should be in the permies total, since I used a link on the forums.

Well, I was finally able to contribute. I had to use a different card -- which is strange since I use that other card for EVERYTHING. Anyway... I didn't see any notification that I contributed on behalf of Permies, but at least I'll get my DVD... As long as you reach your goal.

If you want an accurate count of the total from Permies people, count in another 25+5, because I backed you, but did not use the permies link, and used a credit card with a different name

Last question, did you take Geoff Lawton's course in person or online? We might have been classmates. I took his online class last year!

Thekla! Great Question! The budget we have set is for raw costs to make this project happen. It covers the expenses we've already made and the future expenses of the film production. It does not include any compensation for my own time and energy invested in the project. It would be a huge blessing if we go over! This is an attempt to make a right livelihood doing something that can help so many people, and better our world!

I had the privilege to take Geoff's PDC in person at his farm, Zaytuna! Sorry, we weren't classmates. Congrats on your PDC! It was well worth it, wasn't it?

We're now over $20K altogether! Almost 80% funded!

Yeah, that is so exciting! I check the totals on kickstarter at least once a day. We are so close, with so much time , surely we'll get to the target! And I hope you do get some of that mythical "extra money".

I am really looking forward to the video. I would like to have more chickens and rotate them through my small acreage, but my chickens would fly right over the portable fence. I saw in the preview you were ?clipping their wings? which process I have never understood. I know I'll find out that and more. Hooray and thanks for this fine project.

Thanks Thekla! I am fairly certain we will reach our goal! We've got some very BIG coverage coming up soon, so that should help. Plus! Our Kickstarter video has been viewed over 6,000 times! Sure, some folks just aren't interested in backing, but I think a lot are waiting!

yeah, lots of reasons for waiting, but once I was waiting and missed the closing date on Kickstarter project for a children's book with beautiful illustrations. I was sorry I missed it, but I know about waiting.

I just watched your Facebook video, and even though you've had a decent number of views, I'm worried that it won't get you the traffic to Kickstarter that you are looking for because there is no mention of Kickstarter in the video (that I noticed) - Maybe you could add an end slate that says, "Kickstarter - Permaculture Chickens" with the end date on it.

Ideally a link, but I'm not sure you can create active links in videos on Facebook.

Anyway, I hope this piece of unsolicited advice helps!

I'm working on some stretch goals! So far, I'm thinking English subtitles for the hearing impaired and bonus footage at the DVD level.
