This week Cody will be joining us to talk about all sorts of topics regarding modern homesteading.

There are four copies of his book, Modern Homesteading up for grabs.

Cody will be stopping by on the forum over the next few days answering questions and joining in discussions.

From now through this Friday, any posts in this forum, ie the homestead forum, could be selected to win.

To win, you must use a name that follows our naming policy and you must have your email set up in Paul's Daily-ish email.

The winner will be notified by email and must respond within 24 hours.

Posts in this thread won't count, but please feel free to say hi to Cody and make him feel welcome!

Welcome Cody! I've been a subscriber to the channel for a while now and we met one time at the Mother Earth News festival 2 years ago in Puyallup. Mt Fuji probably looks mighty fine this time of year . I hope your stay on Permies is a pleasant one!

Cody,

Welcome! I've been a subscriber for a long time, and have really enjoyed your channel.

Congratulations on the publication of your book! I've requested that my library purchase a copy, I'm hoping they'll get it in quickly!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Hey Cody!

Just discovered your channel through the "daily-ish". Great work.

I'll be following you from now on.

I'm slightly considering doing something similar, so thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Cody, I've followed your channel for at least a year before I came to Permies about a year ago (you probably had only 50,000 subscribers). When I was at Wheaton Labs this summer, I had an idea for you and Paul to collaborate, but wasn't sure how to help facilitate that. I'm very glad to see this happen.

Hi Cody I love your youtube channel. My wife and I have watched many of your videos, you're a good fit here, your knowledge of tools and especially old tools is so valuable for Permaculture!!! much of the problem today is a throw away society and old tools were never meant for that (I know you're a lot more than just knowledgeable about tools too), Thanks for doing such good work.

No author yet. Apparently, he/she/they created an account at the last second. One of the staff nipped it early since the name ("Mrs. Wranglerstar") didn't meet our naming policy. "Cody Smith" was suggested and accepted. Later he/she/they changed their minds. Sometime yesterday afternoon, cassie roped me in to the mess, and ... before going to bed last night I thought I laid out a really good direction. I woke up this morning and ... no posts?

Hopefully we'll get this sorted out soon and you all will get to visit with Cody and Mrs. Wranglerstar.

We are thrilled to be here. We had some technical difficulties which caused the delay but they seemed to have been resolved when we checked in this morning. Thank you for the introduction. Cody and MrsWranglerstar

Thanks for the warm welcome. We really appreciate it. MrsW has done a ton of reading on permaculture as we try to determine what to do with our pasture land. We want to keep water on the land and rebuild the soil. Looks like we will be learning a lot here.

welcome to Permies Wranglestar's

I really enjoy your videos as they sometimes give
me additional idea's to that which I've sort of discontinued
trying to improve a process.... and I hear myself saying out loud
now there's a great idea ! you belong here I think.
~
Speaking of idea's I learned allot about creativity and where it
originates. On the threshold of Sleep...okay ...you'll know
your almost there when you suddenly twitch involuntarily telling you
your about to NOD off.... that's where you can build " in the Mind"
anything you want really , and you will remember it in the morning.

I agree. Here's the link: https://richsoil.com/wood-heat.jsp
