This is Paul Wheaton's 16th Kickstarter!

When you’re bonkers about permaculture, you might seem a bit crazy to your friends and family.

Twelve years ago, we came out with a deck of Permaculture Playing Cards.
The idea was simple: give these decks to people as gifts so you seem a little less crazy.

And it worked.

People loved them so much that they kept asking for another deck.
So we started a long list of ideas, over a hundred in total, and chose the best ones to bring you something new:
the Purple Deck.

Why It Works

Here’s the magic: You hand someone a deck, maybe that cousin who thinks you’ve lost it because of your bizarre gardening techniques. They open it up, pull out two random cards, and spend about seven seconds looking at each.

That’s all it takes. Two cards. Fourteen seconds. And suddenly, they’re hooked on permaculture.

Each card is designed to spark curiosity and share one fascinating slice of the gardening, homesteading and permaculture world, from rocket cooktops to willow feeders, from forage gardening to cleaners you can eat.

What’s Inside the Purple Deck

Kickstarter kickback program!

You can get paid to share this project!

I am so excited that there is going to be a new pig card!
My neighbor and I got pigs this year and I will finally get a chance to try sealing a pond with the help of pigs!

I put off getting pigs for a long time because I thought it would be hard.  They are actually really easy and super cute.  Just like it shows in the card!

Quick update!

Kate Downham has a kickstarter of her own running right now.   ( just 4 days left! )

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/katedownham/sourdough-without-fail

"Sourdough can be approachable, everyday, simple bread that fits in with your life."

That sounds great to me.
I am looking forward to having this resource in my kitchen.    I ordered the physical book.

Here are cards from the permaculture deck and from the gardening deck for comparison.   I like how they each have their own style.

Oh love bugs, energy is an interesting phenomenon that we're still in infancy of understanding.  Ancients must've had a greater understanding and with it... an understanding of why most was purposefully 'lost'.

Learning our history as not to repeat is a brick and mortar concept.  We reinvent movies constantly, we think we're all doing what's best for whatever best interests we hold.

We know not what we do.

We call purple permaculture the spiritual side, because it has much to do with observation and feeling.  Instead of developing a plan and following the plan, it's getting clues and listening to what the land/ecosystem needs and what it will support.

That said, Law of Attraction is real.  We attract what we are.  As stewards of the land, where is our heart and moral compass? What are we creating? What's the underlying emotion? If it's negative, it will attract negative... blight, pests, etc... and not everything is bad.

That said, watch why things are under attack by pests... take a moment, if you can, and understand the life we are witnessing.  A lot of what we start has grand development in our minds... yet, an unhealthy anything isn't always our forte and mother nature knows better.

We can talk about color properties with solar water, sounds, electroculture, etc... I'm happy to indulge in any/all of it.  ❤️

It's really about remembering who we are, that we are connected to Source/Universe/Nature [<~ insert comfortable reference here] instead of being separated from It.

❤️
