Washed my clothes today using the manual washer at base camp. I just realized that I didn’t post a folded pic. They are still drying right now.

Any chance you could post a picture of folded clothes? I mean I trust that they got folded, but I have to follow the requirements. I think if you can post a picture of some of those same articles of clothing folded, I can certify this!

Thanks for reminding me. I got caught up in finishing the PDC. I updated my post with the folded pic.

Aloha!

During the ATC, i did a load of clothes in the cool hand-clothes-washer they had. It reminded me of a toy one I had as a kid, which my mom also has as a kid. It was a lot of work. But much better than a bucket.

I've always wondered how difficult it would be if I had to wash my laundry in the bathtub in a power outage. I figured it would be better to figure that out BEFORE there was a power outage.

Washed with some baking soda, oxygen bleach and a dash of washing soda, and some hand-made soap that was made with just coconut oil, lye and lemon oil. I scrubbed each clothing article individually, and then walked all over them with my bare feet. Then let them soak for 30 minute and did it again. Then rinsed twice. Then squeezed as much out as I could. All in all, it took an hour, and I have new appreciation for my washing machine.

I forgot I hadn't taken the folded picture yet. Will update with that soon! EDIT: added picture of laundry. It's stacked on top of the towels I'd washed in the machine and hung to dry after I hung up the clothes I'd washed in the bathtub:-D.
